This course, provided by Virtual College, has been developed as a result of significant research findings, which show that “When animals are abused, people are at risk; when people are abused, animals are at risk.”

Understanding Animal Welfare in Violent Homes
The Anti-Bullying Alliance provide a suite of training for anyone that works with children and young people.
The programme was particularly developed to reduce levels of bullying of disabled children and those with special educational needs, but applies to all children. It also includes cyberbullying.

IDAS have provided Domestic Abuse Basic Awareness training. This beginners training course is aimed at individuals in organisations and voluntary groups who work with adults and children or young people, to give a basic awareness of issues surrounding domestic abuse.

The short, introductory eLearning course on Identifying and responding to intra-familial child sexual abuse from the Centre of Expertise on Child Sexual Abuse (CSA) is designed to help those in social work, policing, education, healthcare and beyond to recognise when children might be showing them that something is wrong and understand how to help.
The course is designed for anyone working with children to understand what intra-familial child sexual abuse is, provide guidance on how to identify concerns and build knowledge and confidence in how to respond to support both children and their wider family.
Victims and survivors of intra-familial child sexual abuse can and do recover from their abuse, especially when supported by professionals who show care and compassion, facilitate choice, control and safety, and are trained to best support them and their wider families.
The introductory course takes just 90 minutes to complete, is entirely free and consists of 3 engaging modules, with interactive tasks, video explainers and a final assessment. It’s designed for professionals at all stages of their career; for those new to safeguarding, or as a helpful refresher.
CSA - Identifying and responding to intra-familial child sexual abuse
This MAPPA Training, which is provided by the Probation Service, will support those who attend Multi Agency Public Protection Arrangements (MAPPA) meetings and anyone who works with violent or sexual offenders to raise individual awareness of Multi Agency Public Protection Arrangements, practice guidance and policy.
It aims to help professionals consider the appropriateness of MAPPA in assisting the management of those risks posed by an individual to the public, known adult, children, staff and prisoners.

This online training, provided by the Home Office, offers an introduction to the Prevent duty, and explains how it aims to safeguard vulnerable people from being radicalised to supporting terrorism or becoming terrorists themselves.
This package, provided by the Home Office, builds on the Prevent awareness e-learning training. It is designed to make sure that when we share a concern that a
vulnerable individual may be being radicalised, that the referral is robust, informed and with good intention, and that the response to that concern is considered, and proportionate.
This training package, provided by the Home Office, is for anyone who may be asked to contribute to, sit on, or even run a Channel Panel.
It's aimed at all levels, from a professional asked to input and attend for the first time, to a member of staff new to their role and organising a panel meeting.
Prevent Channel or Prevent Multi-Agency Panel course
NSPCC Learning run an introductory course for school/education staff who work with children who have special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and additional needs.
Adults who work with children and young people with SEND should be aware of the additional needs children may have that could mean they are more vulnerable to abuse and/or less able to speak out if something isn’t right.
There is a £25 charge for this course.

Zero Suicide Alliance (ZSA) offer various suicide awareness courses for professionals.
Their free online training courses teach professionals the skills and confidence to have a potentially life-saving conversation with someone you’re worried about.
North Yorkshire Horizons provide ‘Hard to help’ training for anyone working in public services in North Yorkshire and York. It is free, easy to book, and will give you confidence in spotting domestic violence and helping perpetrators seek support. Bitesize modules on Mental Health, Drink and Drugs, Dual Diagnosis and Trauma can be added to your training.
The courses are delivered online and additional online resources are available once you have completed the training.
