‘Outstanding’

In January 2008, the City of York underwent a Joint Area Review, an inspection involving the national inspectorates of 7 agencies. The review looked at the following areas:

• Safeguarding
• Looked After Children and Young People
• Children and Young People with Learning Difficulties

The services in each of these areas where judged ‘outstanding’ placing services for children and young people in the City of York amongst the best in the country.
